#Responsibilities:

• API Development: Design, develop, and maintain APIs using the Apigee Edge platform to enable seamless integration and communication between various systems, applications, and services.

• API Gateway Configuration: Configure and customize API proxies, policies, and routing rules within the Apigee Edge platform to control access, enforce security policies, and optimize API performance.

• Integration: Integrate APIs with backend systems, databases, third-party services, and cloud platforms to enable data exchange and functionality across different environments.

• Security Implementation: Implement security measures such as authentication, authorization, encryption, and rate limiting to protect APIs and ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.

• Monitoring and Analytics: Set up monitoring, logging, and analytics capabilities within the Apigee platform to track API usage, performance metrics, and troubleshoot issues proactively.

• DevOps Automation: Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts to streamline the deployment, testing, and management of APIs in development, staging, and production environments.

• Documentation and Training: Create and maintain technical documentation, including API specifications, design guides, and troubleshooting guides. Provide training and support to developers and stakeholders on using Apigee APIs and platform features.

• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, architects, testers, and business analysts, to ensure the successful implementation and integration of API solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an API Developer, Software Developer, or related role.

• Proficiency in API development and management using the Apigee Edge platform.

• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles, HTTP protocols, and web services standards.

• Experience with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.

• Knowledge of API security standards and protocols such as OAuth, JWT, and TLS.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

• Expertise in JavaScript and OpenAPISpec documentation.

• Understanding of API monitoring (Splunk, Datadog) implementation for Apigee.

• Design and develop an integrated developer portal.

• Experience in Management API.

• Understand Apigee Analytics.

• Understand Apigee X and Apigee Hybrid platform configuration.
