Job Title: Tech Lead ( Startup )

Location: Remote - Cairo

Equity: 2.5-5% Equity Share & Note : This position does not currently offer a salary.

Hours: Minimum 5 hours daily commitment

Overview: USAM, an innovative Ed-Tech startup, is seeking a skilled Tech Lead to oversee and manage all aspects of our technology development. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive technical expertise and previous leadership experience in a startup environment. The Tech Lead will be responsible for guiding our technology team in developing, testing, and implementing software solutions that align with our strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of front-end and back-end software solutions.
• Develop and maintain our tech stack using React.js for front-end and Node.js for back-end.
• Manage a team of developers, testers, and IT specialists to ensure efficient project execution and technology operations.
• Oversee the infrastructure, including cloud deployments and database management, to ensure scalability and security of applications.
• Collaborate with other department heads to align technology development with overall business goals.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Ensure that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members, fostering an environment of innovation and growth.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead or similar leadership role in technology.
• Strong technical background with expertise in software development, system architecture, cloud services, and database management.
• Experience in leading technology teams and projects in a startup environment.
• Strong knowledge of coding languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries.
• Familiarity with front-end and back-end development processes.
• Understanding of infrastructure management, cloud services, and data security.
• Basic knowledge of the startup ecosystem and the unique challenges faced by technology startups.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
